I wanted to thank Landon, obviously the only leak detector, for his attention to the problems that presented to me: my water heater tank finally took a crap (pun intended) and needed replacing. He came out, removed the old geezer, and was able to install a professional tankless electric water heater by Stiebel Eltron. This “Leak Detector” isn’t just that—he’s got more than one skill. He encountered issues along the way but worked diligently through to the end, using a Propress pipe crimper to join the new copper piping to my plumbing. Thanks, definitely recommend.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I explain the requirements for the process:

-Silence: A/C, Pool Pump(s), Well Pump(s), Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Refrigerator(s) OFF. No Toilet Flushing. Loud Animals Relocated To Bathroomless Room or Out Of Sight

-Patience: Finding a leak is unique with every property. It will seem like I’m just rushing through your dead-silent house, big headphones on my head, looking concentrated. That’s because I’m turning over several variables in my head while adding new ones.

-Trust: When I give my conclusion, it’s presented as fact—please don’t ask “How do you KNOW it’s there?”. If I do not find a leak, I do not charge. If I determine that I’ve found it / them, please trust me. I was trained by my father, who was a master plumber, for 11 years. “Find the Leak, or don’t come home.”, that’s how I learned.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Worked side-by-side my father for 11 years, did all of his continuing education courses every other year, became certified through Flir and Sewerin.

How did you get started in this business?

I graduated high school in June of 2008–>financial crisis hit in August, dad asked for my help—>Here We Are.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types. Everyone micterates, everyone defecates.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Found a leak just today. And yesterday, and the day before.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

I’d obviously tell them to give me a call.
