Monash University Menzies Redevelopment

A major refurbishment and extension of the Robert Menzies Building builds on the spatial and material qualities of the original 1960s Eggleston Macdonald Secomb design, adding the diverse functions of a modern university. Biophillic patterns and recycled timber features were incorporated, enhancing the foyer circulation, where a dynamic new lift and stair structure were also added. The project created a new campus gateway while reinvigorating a classic.
