Corina was a wonderful help for the project when we needed a permit for an outdoor spiral staircase. She was super efficient and had all the information about the project in tight control. I felt very reassured by her professionalism but above all she is a very kind person with great interpersonal skills. I was so grateful to have her help me and recommend her highly.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am inspired and challenged by my clients are, and creating timeless spaces/experiences. I enjoy brainstorming sessions with clients, but can understand the more hands-off approach of busy developers.  After the design process, we tackle any planning approvals, pricing, permitting, and of course construction. I like to be involved in all phases of the project, including construction administration, which is an optional service, but highly recommended.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

A Bachelor, and Master in Architecture. I am a Licensed Architect in the state of California, and a Green Building professional.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

$150/hour if time and materials contract, or 8% to 15% of project construction cost. First meet and site visit are not charged.

How did you get started in this business?

Strong female role models in my family have taught me the value of building a house, and making it a home. I believe the physical environmemt can dictate a person's attitude, or a community's culture. I see, analyze, and envision the world in terms of spaces and what that says about us.

What types of customers have you worked with?

From single family home owners, to large developers designing and building multi unit family housing, and mixed use developments.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Chances are you've done some research about what you want and how you'll get it done. Still, ask your designer, architect, or contractor about how they might approach things. Their response will inform you of their experience and comfort level, and it might also sprout new ideas.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Project intent (scope), schedule (timing), and budget, if possible. Although professionals can definitely help you define these milestones.
