Finding the right agent is crucial to your real estate success, whether buying or selling. With every realtor claiming to be "the best", how can you be sure of the right fit for you? In short, it comes down to 2 things... track record and social proof. If an agent cannot produce either, then their claim of being #1 is questionable at best.
Let's start with track record... ERA is one of the largest real estate companies in the world. I am currently ranked #15 out of 33,000 agents. I bring my yearly track record with me to each appointment, so my customers can see excatly what I've sold, how many of my listings have expired/cancelled, my list price to sales price ratios, etc. If an agent is not willing to share this info, then there's something they're hiding.
Social proof has become increasingly popular in the real estate field, and it's no surprise. For years we've left reviews for restaurants and hotels, shouldn't we do the same for the agents that represent us in one of the largest transactions of our lives? Well, buyers and sellers agree and are starting to talk about their agents on review sites like Yelp, Zillow, and Google. Currently, I'm one of the top ranked East Bay agents on Yelp, the #1 review site in the world.
Simply put, people want to work with someone that they can trust (social proof), and have confidence in knowing they will get the job done (track record).
